Today we all took a train from Bad Laasphe to Marburg. It is about a fifty six minute train ride. Marburg is a much larger city, and most of its streets are up hill. On top of the hill is a really pretty castle, and the streets are very busy with tourists and locals. We almost did not walk all the way up to the castle, but my friend Kali urged us to walk through the pain. I'm really thankful that we walked up because the view was amazing! Our teachers gave us a task that involved talking to locals in order to learn new vocab, and everyone I talked to was really nice. Many of my conversations are a strange mixture of English and German, but all the locals are very nice and seem happy that we attempt to speak with them. The shops were very cool, and I bought a well known German children's book called Max und Moritz. Although my feet hurt from walking up the steep streets and walking barefoot up the mountain back in Bad Laasphe, I am really happy that I got to see such amazing views and talk to some really nice locals.
