The last few days have been very busy and fun! We have played tons of games and explored the woods and the village. Some of the games are secrets that I cannot write about because future CBYXers should not know about them. I can say that I have been taken out of my comfort zone on many occasions this week. Their games are meant to get us ready for communicating and living in a new culture, and the games make you think on your feet. I often get really tired after playing the games because you have to be so observant. We got to have a scavenger hunt through the woods, and my team won! During the scavenger hunt, you play games, search for things, and show team spirit. My team created a very unique and awkward cheer, and we preformed our cheer and dance for all of the CBYXers, teamers, and teachers. German class is always really fun and difficult. I really like my teacher, and I always enjoy having such an entertaining and interactive class. So far, language camp has been extremely fun, but I do admit that I am looking forward to getting to know my host family. I am a little worried about picking up German quickly, but I know that I will pick up a lot more once I am immersed in a German school and a German home. Today we learned some German dances and how to make a German bed.
