Host Family!

I didn't believe the CBYX alumni when they told me that waiting for my host family would be the hardest part of my German adventure, but now I understand what they mean. I have been obsessively checking my email every minute of every day, and the wait has been terrible. I have been imagining what my host family would be like since I received my acceptance letter, and the day has finally arrived! I have to admit that my host family is far more awesome than I imagined. I will be living in a village near Bielefeld called Stemwede-Niedermehnen with around 650 inhabitants. My family owns a "hay hotel." I have three sisters (22, 19, and 18) and a host brother (15). They also have cats, rabbits, a pony, and chickens. I still don't really know what a hay hotel is, but the pictures make it look fun. I cannot focus on any governor's school work right now because of my excitement!
